Santa Fe Wind and Solar Power, a division of Santa Fe Air Conditioning, was formed in 2007 to offer state of the art wind, photovoltaic, and solar water heating products.  We have been serving the Kansas City and surrounding areas since 1987. Duane Wood, co-owner of Santa Fe Air Conditioning, has had a keen interest in renewable energy since 1980. “Back then I was building and experimenting with air and water heating solar collectors. Photovoltaic panels were around then too but only NASA could afford them in those days. I also built a passive solar home in 1984 that was bright and airy. You could heat and cool it for a fraction of the cost of a conventional home. With the renewed interest in wind and solar energy, and the exciting new products that are available today, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to become involved in this exciting new industry. It’s a perfect fit with our mechanical business. And unlike most of our competitors, we have been around for almost 25 years. So you know we will be here to support your new wind or solar energy system”.

Our technicians regularly attend factory training on the renewable energy products we represent.  With our engineering capabilities, Master Mechanical and Master Electrician’s licenses, we can see your project thru from concept to completion.
